Whats up guys just doing some homework before i start buying useless stuff lol what do you all think of the unequal/equal lenght headers? Are they really worth it? Anyone here with some of these please post your review about them. Thanks.

Re: are aftermarket headers worth it??
I recently installed some agency power uel headers, and I'm pleased so far. The car seems easier to get moving in normal driving, although I have no data besides the butt dyno, haha.

Re: are aftermarket headers worth it??
Very easy. I've heard of some people needing to remove a motor mount and jack up the engine, but I had no such problem. I helped Dana put some ebay headers on his Subie, and they just needed a bit of persuading, nothing major. On his, however, we had to cut/bend the crossmember seam a bit due to clearance issues. Again, nothing major.

I have a set of Perrin Equal Length Headers. A lot of people say that they dont like how it doesnt sound like an Sti anymore and more like an Evo but I dont mind. It gets me power and thats what really matters.
If interested I have a set of OBX Equal Length 1.5 Scroll Headers I could sell you cheap.

Keep in mind though that on the 2.0's, you might have to switch to an sti oil pan in order to run an equal length header.

Did a set of Invidia EL Header w/ Attached Up pipe. My Fav power mod so far, those were a bit pricey but well worth the costs

Personally I think the $$$ can be spend better elsewhere (depending on what your current mods are). From what I've read and understand, to actually benefit from the addition of aftermarket headers you'll want to get tuned.
UEL headers you'll maintain the boxer/subie rumble
EL headers, more even flow, lose rumble, but open up for more power.
If you haven't already, (assuming this is for the bugeye) I would get a catless uppipe (STi or 06+ wrx are perfectly fine, or gut your stocker)

Yeah I agree with Chaz, its not the FIRST thing you should jump and do lol. Exhaust, Intake, BoV, Cobb AP with a tune. I got all that Then got headers with my second set of upgrapes, Clutch, Flywheel, FMIC and i went with EL Headers/up pipe and had to get a tune like mentioned above..
power > sound to me. But its just car owners preference.
