JDM Bugeye Projectors install
I installed a set of non-HID JDM headlights today, overall it's a pretty simple job. I made a harness that plugs into the stock connector, so no modification was necessary on the vehicle itself. To do this job, you will need a set of female 9007 headlight bulb connectors, 9005 male connectors, and a couple quick splicers. Mine had the low beam (H1) connectors, so I didn't have to purchase those.
First, get the 9007 connector and identify which wires are power the low beam and high beam.
Note the colors of the wires will vary depending on where you purchase your connector, but in the above image:
Black: constant positive for both low & high
Blue: switched ground for low
Red: switched ground for high
The H1 connector is for the low beam, the 9005 for the high beam. Splice the harnesses together, and you now have a plug and play harness JDM headlights!
