Another SWP sedan!! Hell yeah! Welcome aboard. What do you have in mind for mods. For tuning I highly recommend Eric Minehart. Torquedperformance.com

Re: New to EPAWd
Meh, it all comes down to what you want to do with the car. Track, Strip, etc.... The normal starting point for most is tuning method (Cobb AP, opensource) and a downpipe. Those two really turn the car into a completely different beast.

Re: New to EPAWd
yea they advised me of the cobb ap. does it still work good if its stcked car? wat about a full tunning? since clark tunnign is coming they also advised me of that? i may sound liek a newbie in all this cuz i am but thats why i joined and learn form people who have already experienced with this haha im learnign.im reading all these other forums as well pretty helpfull
Re: New to EPAWd
I would suggest you start with the Accessport which will give you stage 1 with your stock set up. It's more worth it to go stage 2 or bigger turbo with supporting mods before you get a pro tune.
Welcome to the forum btw!

I would opt for the AP and downpipe first. Personally I think a protune is a waste of $$$ especially at a basic stage 2 setup. Seriously check out torquedperformance.com for a better tune that the Cobb OTS (off the shelf) map. $85 compared to $300. Personally I only see the benefit of a protune once you surpass the basic stage 2 with intake setup, i.e.... larger injectors, upgraded turbo, 3-port ebcs, external wastegate etc.....
Eric (torquedperformance) has what he considers up to be a Stage 3 set up for your car which includes stock turbo, upgraded intercooler, 3-port ebcs, downpipe, 1-step colder plugs (NGK iridium), upgraded fuel pump (stock 08+ STI is sufficient and can be had for like $30). $85 gets you basically the same thing that you'll be paying $300 for Clark Turner or whatever Cam charges. I'm not talking ill of either of them as they are both reputible tuners, but like I said earlier, I would only look to those guys if you decide to go bigger.
