Plasti Dip Anything!!
Hey everybody, most of you know I am in virginia at the moment with family until Friday. While here I decided to try out some plasti dip on my brother's mazda rx8 and my mother's Lancer Ralliart. This stuff is only $5.65 at Home Depot and one can can do multiple vehicles and items. It's pretty easy to use just requires a little bit of patience and a good dry area where nothing will blow into it. When you apply it, it's a liquid but quickly hardens to a latex type material and then can be removed from areas you dont want with your finger tips. Here are a few pictures!
Brother's 06 Mazda RX8 going for an all blue & black theme:
Two-Three layers of Plasti Dip Spray:
Then just peel off the masking tape, pull the excess plasti dip off of the car. It just peels away!
Next the rear 3 badges:
Rigged up paint preparation
Oh and the gas cap just for fun:
Decided to have fun with mom's 2011 Lancer Ralliart (Evo engine with a Td04 FTW )
Debadged the "Mitsubishi" and "Lancer" Emblems & Plasti Dipped Mitsubishi Logo:
Then decided to do some more rigged paint prep and get rid of that chrome ring on the grille:
Final Product:
Teaser, Plasti Dipping my friend Steve's entire 02 bugeye flat white this Tuesday, pics to follow:

If you guys want to see some plasti dipped interior pieces let me know. Mine is a year old already and there are only a few spots with defects now. But good news is when I quit being lazy n decide to fix it. It literally peels right off and you can just re spray it!!! Seriously worth it in my opinion.

Hey Donald, here's my idea for the stripes possibly, just a quick mockup in Paint (maybe just the fronts, maybe just the rear stripes, or maybe both; and then whether I want both sides of the car too):

Re: Plasti Dip Emblems
It survives going through the touchless car washes that have high pressure. If you have a rock chip on the plasti dip you can just spray that spot real quick and it will form together and prevent from peeling off.
