EJ25 / EJ20 Heads Build

I was looking around and didn't see anything about this topic . If anyone has done this setup please let me know what issues you run into or ill update you as i go along. I am doing all the work my self so please feel free to throw in your two cents .

Are you asking about getting a hybrid setup or just building the heads?

Yes on the heads . Just any info on any problems anyone has run into . for the most part i should be good . Just seeing if there are any major things to look out for

Not too much, correct clearance bearings and make sure the cam caps are all the same as they came if the heads are used at all because they wear specifically

Yeah i took them apart and mark them by left and right heads but i Wish that i had been a lil more specific to separate them but i figure thats how u learn . The ones in the 2.0 are the same size caps , just diffrent shims at the top and the ones in the sti 2.5 heads are just one piece and are easier to read as the numbers are written on the inside so you can do your math easier with measuring the clearance with your feeler gauge . The 2.0 has a the shims at the top but the numbers have all been erased so it will be fun trying to piece together this jigsaw.
Any one has an unmarried access port for sale? I think i am gonna need one in the weeks to come . Also anyone can get any good deals on Pressure plate Clutch and flywheel , the set up i was gonna go with was either ACT or Competion pressure plate and 6 puck unsprung stage 4 . flywheel i am open to .

HELP NEEDED URGENTLY - i started the build on my hybrid motor but the street pro by cometic gaskets DO NOT COME WITH the 4 o-rings needed to mate the sti blocks together and i cant seem to find them anywhere . anyone have a set sitting around ? ill compensate you please let me know as thats all thats holding me up right now . I have the old gaskets but i dont wanna take the chance as it would be alot of work to pull the block apart for something so simple . i can give you my number and meet you to get the parts . this is a distress shout out. lol thanks

Any chance we would get you to do a build thread? This looks rather interesting, plus I for one am curious as to what it takes to do a build like this.

Yeah it shouldn't be a problem. I would like to get done first , so i don't have to go back in and do alot of corrections . As for now. if you buy the Cometic gasket kit. it doesn't come with the 4 o-rings you will need when u split the block. lol
