Just got stationed out here in El Paso. I have a 2012 evo x and I'm about to install a few bolt on mods and a cobb access port. I was just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for a tuner in the area..

First off, Welcome! Second, sorry you have the misfortune to be stationed here. As far as tuners there aren't any in the immediate area. Most people go through either Clark Turner (not sure if he does Evo's though). There is Cam up in Albuquerque (camtuning.com) that is reputable. Don (STi2Envy) is trying to get someone from TurboXS out here for a tuning session. That may be your best option as of now for protuning. There is meet this afternoon at 5pm at the Sonic on Montana (near the corner of Montana and Airport).

There is also Evan Smith of EStuning out of Tucson. He comes down to Las Cruces for some of the Aroyo Seco events.

I do believe Clark does do Evos as well.

If that doesn't work for you, another guy I've worked with and recommend in Texas is Steve Kan of kantuning in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Welcome to the forum, Clark does do Evo as well. I had a little issue with the guy who brings clark down here as well as my tune so I'm not a fan of those tunes any more, hence the reason I am bringing TurboXS (jermaine) down here to do tunes for a few cars as he makes much more power while keeping it much safer than any other tuner I've ever had

Any update to that by chance? Sticking with how the car is. No longer going 68hta but would like to go 3port with a stage 2 tune.

Hopefully in April still. Just waiting on my block to be delivered this week and the car to be finished getting painted so I can get a set in stone date.

Hey the meet is on Saturday =) Also, about Jermaine coming out, it might be delayed another week or so because I received my "New" Pistons in the mail today from the guy who is sending my block and one of them is trashed so I had him order a new one for me and now he is complaining that I should pay for that one to get coated.
