Outerwears Pre-Filter

Post by meanjoaquin on Sat Apr 13, 2013 3:21 pm

Alright, so as you may have noticed, El Paso gets pretty dusty. That dust can wreak havoc on your turbo if you let it! After a year of driving here, the intake on my SPT intake was filthy! After ordering a new filter from Flatirons Tuning in Colorado, I went ahead and added an Outerwears Prefilter to the order. Couldn't hurt right?
The prefilter is supposed to protect against dust as well as being semi water resistant, so that's good news for you CAI guys. I'll update this periodically to to see if it helps keep the filter clean, but so far I think it's a great buy at right around $20!

Try and guess which is the new filter...

Interesting concept for a secondary filter. I'd do it for driving around town with my demon.
