155 EPAWD Members... Empty 155 EPAWD Members...

Post by ER04STi Fri Dec 21, 2012 1:16 am

So I think it's pretty awesome how we now have 155 registered members here on EPAWD! But sad to say that no more than 10 make it out to the meets. Its about that time to have a big cruise/meet where atleast 30 cars show up & maybe take some more photos, it's been a while.

Easiest fix would be to trade in all those rotten Legacies, WRx's and STI's for DSMs and Evos Laughing

Right now, with it being winter, most people put their cars down for the season or get their builds done then. You'd probably get a higher turnout if you reduce from a weekly meet to a bi-weekly meet until the summer months. This way people don't take for granted what it takes to put together a meet and just blow it off thinking "eh, I'll go next week".

On a related note, though. Yes we have 155 registered members, but how many of them are really all that active on the board?

This is a good point. Going through the members list there are several that haven't logged on in over 6 months and a lot have only 5 or less posts and haven't been active since they signed up. 40 or so have logged on or signed up in December. The NASIOC thread is pretty much dead as well. Crying or Very sad

For reason every C&C meet for the most part is on days when I'm on call so it's difficult to attend. The weekend meets something always comes up to where I can't attend. Should have my RS back no later than February but I'll be going to ALC from mid Feb- end of March, then only have a couple months until I PCS in August.

To be honest the C&C meet at the Shops @ El Paso I was able to attend turned into something that I understood it wouldn't be like. Hey let me drive 60 mph through the parking lot so everyone can hear my show off valve. I enjoy attending stuff like this but when it starts to turn into something like that, I just prefer to stay away. I understand that you can't keep all douches away (this includes fellow Subaru owners). But that one weekend meet (where Donald had a majority of the shirts at that Mexican food place by I-10, can't remember the name) and Mr. Monster sticker bomb'd STi almost hit a family cause he wanted to show off in the parking lot as he was leaving left a bitter taste in my mouth. Evil or Very Mad

I'm all for having fun and showing off a little, and driving fast/spirited but that is for open roads and not a ****ing parking lot. :/ end rant.

It kinda sucks that we don't have more participation from some of our members as there are quite a few whom I'm sure have as much or more technical knowledge. There are a few brains I would like to pick if they were to frequent the site more.

That's true, and this will give us more time to plan our meets.
Also I already got my car back! Shop did a pretty good job with the paint but I'm sticking with what I said, this shop sucks! They ordered a WRX headlight instead of an STi so it doesn't even work, my hellahorns or my alarm don't work anymore.

If it wasn't right, then why did you accept the car back? You can still take it back and have them correct it .

Slap them in the face with your cock. That'll motivate em lol.

Seriously though, we've had a lot of cool people sign up on the board, now they just need to get active on here. Kidloco (Tim), for one example does some very interesting stuff to his rides. We just have to convince him to post up some of his projects and how to's.

He's just one example. We have guys doing hybrid builds, paint and body guys, etc.... If we could get more of our gurus to post up their projects and skills, we could really increase overall participation.
