CJ's 99 RS (Alice) Back to the beginning..... something new coming up.
Reserved for build..... just pics for now..
Still need to get her tinted and figure out where the leak is in the A/C as it worked perfect prior to doing the swap.
Say Good-bye!
Originally was painted with a crap red paint. Thought the blue was going to be darker. Oh well...
Getting read to pull the EJ253...
.....and she is out!

Has a new wrx radiator in it as the original RS blew it's upper seal. Will be replacing the crap aftermarket headers and uppipe with an oem set. Once the A/C is fixed I'm going to be looking at upgrading the suspension.

Got the A/C figured out. Stopped filling once the clutch kicked in and wasn't paying attention as the psi dropped back to 0. Full bottle later and the A/C is cold and has been holding at 35psi for a month now.
Anyways, sourced my suspension components for now. 07 WRX wagon sways 20 up front 17 rear. Better than the 19/13 stock. Also, have some Prodrive P1 GC springs and KYB AGX struts. Put the sways on this past weekend. Just waiting for the time to do the struts. Debating if I will need some saggy butt spacers.

So, went to install the struts and unknowing to myself the nuts for the strut rods are different between stock and KYB. Drove all over East El Paso and no one carried the correct nut M14 x 1.5. Contacted KYB, told them I had bought some used AGX's and they didn't come with the nuts. Asked if they have the part #'s, size, and if they sell them separately. Instead of giving me that info they asked what part #'s the struts were and sent me all 4 nuts, free of charge, including shipping costs. Talk about Customer Service and Support! Now, I just need a free weekend again.

Very nice. One of my dream cars is a GC with an STI swap. I just love the body lines, I wish we would have gotten the STI to begin with but hey, if we can't have it, we are going to make it.

Thanks man! Eventually an STi motor may find its way in it. May just go with a 207 block instead of the 2.5 and go hybrid. So many future plans for this car.

I thought of doing one in high school but never got around to it. I was thinking of using the EJ257 but I don't know. The STI motors can get crazy expensive even used.

Scratching the VF39 idea. Going to keep basic stage 2 and start looking at cleaning up the interior. Probably within 5-6 years or so I'll be swapping the 205 with a 257 and thinking 68HTA

Yes I know. But after thinking it over I feel better about this path.
But, I do change my mind quite often.

Baby is getting some new shoes....(4 total)
Since I now have a 68HTA turbo, I got these for a great price by throwing the vf39 in for partial trade. (Sorry Alan)
