New GTR to the Forum
Hi all,
Had a guy at the BestBuy (Viscount) suggest I join the forum. Currently driving a 2010 GTR (Modded). Previous vehicle was a heavily modded Infiniti FX35. Looking forward to seeing you all at a meet. Not looking for drama or little kids games. Looking for a strong group of people who know cars and can leave the high school drama and BS someplace else.
Current ride:
WORK IN PROGRESS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Previous ride:
Eric,
(HKSGTR) - custom plate on order for the GTR.

Thanks, the GTR is a R38 Paperwork says R35 but the stamp on the engine is R38. I miss my FX but it was time to UPGRADE!

Hey I was the one who invited you out today at Best Buy My name's Donald by the way. Luckily, we have no drama in our group and participate in as many family friendly and enthusiast friendly events as we can. Car is absolutely beautiful, a guy named Eric and his wife who both own GTRs try to come out to meets but are often busy.
Re: New GTR to the Forum
nice car! always have wondered what it would be like to own one, i remember seeing that fx before it had a very nice wheel/coilover/brake setup!

I am actually a member of nagtroc under the username "EPAWD". That's where I actually met a couple of the GTR owners who show interest in this group as well as the Cars & Coffee events we do once a month.
Re: New GTR to the Forum

Re: New GTR to the Forum
I put a lot of time and money into the FX. The 35 was the best way to go as way as modding the 45 don't have a lot when it comes to after market upgrades (engine). The GTR has plenty the problem is its all VERY expensive. Brake pads are almost 1000$, Transmission oil change 1000$, tires 1500$, Gas 55$ at least once a week. But I would not trade her for anything. Im coming up on a deployment again and as always that means mod money.
The first thing is wheels 10,000$ for this set:
www.adv1wheels.com/adv1wheels/index.php
www.adv1wheels.com/adv1wheels/wheelcollection/ADV10DC.php
ADV10 DC (Deep Concave)
21x10.5 Front
21x12.5 Rear
In my opinion DC is the only way for a GTR
Then this:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=brand_rr&n=brand_rr_design_b_-_steering_wheel_full_custom_with_carbon_fiber_leather&id=309
Then this:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=password_jdm&n=rear_speaker_shelf_carbon&id=481
Then this:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=auto_select&n=front_devil_spoiler_carbon&id=164
Then this:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=auto_select&n=canards_wet_carbon&id=165
And this:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=password_jdm&n=trunk_carbon&id=207
This:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=password_jdm&n=hood_carbon_oem_design&id=208
This:
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=titek&n=sideskirts_carbon&id=531
And last (well not last but close):
www.gt-rr.com/product.html?m=ab_flug&n=rear_wing_carbon&id=661
More pic of my car:
When your dealing with GTR's, Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, LFA etc. you need to remember that what ever you do can't take away from the value or performance for the car. EVERYTHING needs to be for a reason to a end, not just (looks good so lets slap it on). The GTR is classed as a exotic. Yes it holds a Nissan badge, but Nissan does come from a long line of racing history. The GTR is a pedigree line from the Skyline R34 to the GTR R38.
The GTR has its quarks. I hates going slow, It hates backing up, blind spots everywhere, rough riding (stiff), sucks gas in the city (great on freeway), hates parking lots. Loud inside (well mine is from the exhaust mod) from the exhaust drone. Hard to gauge the distance on the nose when parking.
ALL SHE WANTS TO DO IS DRIVE AS IF HER ASS WAS ON FIRE!
I would have it no other way! You know why? ITS A GTR!

Re: New GTR to the Forum
That is a very nice list of future mods. My father is currently in the market for a used 10-12 GTR back home in VA. Not sure if he will do this many mods but im sure he will get under the hood quite a few times.

That mod list hurts my wallet and all my future checks. Didnt know you were military, You're prob the GTR my Sgt(One with the fx45) was drooling over when i had Staff Duty with him. He also loved it. I think he bailed on the FX45 though D:
