Help! need quick fix on evo mr clutch
My clutch is not engaging , whenever i press the clutch it goes down but doesnt come back up. The slave cylinder isnt leaking or anything and the pedal doesnt need adjusting. The car turns on but i cant put it into gear unless its turned off. If i try putting it into gear the car will start to move but the gear wont go fully in. The clutch "fork"( what disengages and engages the clutch) is kinda stuck and not putting any pressure on the slave cylinder. Am i going to have to replace my entire clutch

it seems that my throw-out bearing popped out since its not applying any force to the fork arm

Try bleeding the clutch, if the pedal goes all the way down and stays there most likely you have air on the system

Can you move your clutch fork around by hand?

Hey...sorry I haven't posted any updates guys. Been busy with the car. So according The firestone place on lee Trevino, my pressure plate is all bent, this along with a messed up slave cylinder. I replaced the slave cylinder already and now im just gonna have to replace the entire clutch system. Whats a good brand for the clutch and should I go for a stage 2 or just a stage 1?

They wanted to charge me $1400 to replace the clutch but my families mechanic told me he could do it for a lot less. Im taking the car in until Thursday of next week. So until then my car is out of commission. :/

Okay first off, you dont drive a honda dont rate the parts in stages. For a regular daily driven evo you'll want an ACT MB7-HDSD. Its a full face disc for easy engagement and a decent pressure plate for ripping on it occasionally.
Secondly, i'm the best evo mechanic anywhere in town hands down. And i can tell you from experience that a mechanic that hasnt touched an evo before will blow seals doing a clutch job.
If you ever have an issue with your car bring it to me. I've been fixing cars that came from other local shops and even the one mechanic you might hear before you hear of me. Good guy, dont wanna bad mouth him on here.
When your mechanic messes your car up, you got my number... Call me

Before you beat the kid up too badly, Exedy/Daiken sells it's single plate clutch kits in stages, and it sounds like that's what Firestone was offering him as it is the OEM equivelent.
Ducky, the ACT clutch he's recommending is pretty good and is better than the OEM.

500 for labor. Takes me two days since i'm in class. Fluids and parts are more. Either 3 quarts of mt90 or oem gl4 6speed fluid. But the oem is 150ish for a gallon. You'll also need oem tcase fluid which i have or you can buy since you need to change it every 7500miles its 65ish. When you get the clutch lemme know.
