What's your next project car? Empty What's your next project car?

Figured I'd liven things up a bit and start a conversation.

Sure our toys are great, but as we get older and more sophisticated we find that we eventually outgrow what we have and want to move on to something else. Some are simple, and some are balls out crazy. So don't hold back. What would you like or plan for your next project car?

I plan to get one of these.

It'll be a great starting point for me as I'm already used to that kind of power.

You know honestly, I am not a big fan of mustangs but the new ones are really nice looking and with that kind of power stock I wouldnt mind maybe one day taking one for a spin and seeing what I think of it. I'm just trying to stay away from a car that a lot of people have because I like to be different from other cars.

Woops misread the MT article. I wrote a long rant about why the Mustang is trying to compete with the ZR1. I then found out it said "ZL1" Embarassed

Still I think they should be improving the GT40 instead of the Mustang...

Mind you, the Mustang is one of the original bad boys. Only reasons I'm even considering one is due to the fact that the quality has dramatically improved over the years, good styling, and the overall "bang for the buck".

Hell, case in point is that I bought a new Ford F150 in 2010 and have yet to have a problem with it at all.

My "dream" (affordable) car has always been a Cobra. Before I was looking at an STI, I was trying it to get a 2007 Shelby GT fro $34k but they did not gave me the loan for it. Just plain awesome cars. But now with the new cobra coming out, that thing is a monster.. Good choice. If you get it, PLEASEEEEEE give me a ride...

My next project car is a 90-93 VW Cabriolet. My very first car was an 89 and been trying to find one of them and swap a VR6 engine and of course turbo it. Just need to find a car (also for daily driving)

My next project is going to be my current RS actually. Once I have my own place (out of the military) with a garage I plan to tear it all down and rebuild it from the ground up, fix all dents, sand it down, and repaint, and possibly upgrade to an STi engine and drivetrain. Just do a complete overhaul on it.

If you're in EP around the time Very Happy Gotta pay off the subie first before I can get another toy. Prob wont get 03-04 Cobra at that point just because they'll be so old, and newer Cobra's should be affordable. But yeah, Ford really hit Chevy's ZL1 with no Lube with this new Cobra haha

Couldn't find a GTR for the price/condition I wanted in the time I had in a reasonable distance, but it is an awd twin turbo v6.
