Night time running lights out :(
Hey whats up guys, I was looking for some guidance on how to possibly diagnose and fix my nighttime running lights/parking lights. They went out randomly, and I have no clue what it could be. I checked the fuses, and the bulbs if they were burnt, but nothing. I assume its a short somewhere maybe? Let me know what you guys think. Im such a n00b lol (Not sure whether Im in the correct section :p haha)
Re: Night time running lights out :(
Night time running lights? Our cars have daytime running lights but a lot of people disable those anyways to save bulb life and just turn them on theirselves when it gets dark outside. If you want to disable it all together and not worry about it, there is a large green connector under the glove box and if you pull those two apart they wont operate any more.
Re: Night time running lights out :(
Well, those are already disabled, thanks. But I'm meaning the parking lights, and the brake lights that are constantly on at night.
Re: Night time running lights out :(
So you mean when you turn your headlights on they dont stay on? Have you switched the little "P" switch on your steering column?
Re: Night time running lights out :(
Yeah my headlights stay on, heres a pic of what I mean. I guess I suck at explaining lol See how the license plate lights are out, as are my tails :/
Re: Night time running lights out :(
Ahh okay I understand. Okay so you said the fuses are all good correct? the one under the hood as well as the one by your feet inside the car? If so then you need to get a voltometer and see where the positive cable stops receiving power so you can cut down the possibilities of where the short could be and work from there.

Re: Night time running lights out :(
The fuse near your feet? Theres a little tray that you can pull out below the headlight leveler knob and it says fuse on it. Behind there is a fuse box
