No clue. Plus, I haven't watched SNL for years.

It was Will Ferrell, Alec Baldwin, Tim Meadows did a couple, and a couple other guys. Classic comedy.

Interesting....
Meanwhiles, I think I'll spend the day messing with fiber optic cables in the Benz.

Going under the knife tomorrow. Not sure how long it'll be before I can drive a manual again so I drove the S*** out of the car today. I love how peppy that TD04 can be.

Yet at the same time you're "detuning" the car.
Hope it all goes well all things considered.

P.s., my fiber optic surgery was a complete failure. FML, I'll have to add a loom to add a cd changer to the car, and that is far from fun. I may not do it on account that I'll have to rip apart half of the car again to add it.

Yeah, a little bass ackwards I know. But, none of the mods currently are on it are going to come into play on the future plan. Guess just go back to the beginning and start a fresh.
On that note, knee surgery was a success. They weren't able to do to a full repair so it was a debridement. Doc said I more damage to the knee than I should at my age. LOL. Airborne!

Re: The completely random off topic thread
I apologize in advance for not being able to get a bone stock baseline. The shop is 4 hours away from me and only open on weekdays. Most stokk w211 E55s make 342(ish). The smaller number is baseline with only mods and no tuning. Overall, not too shabby.
My traction control F*** hates me as the car loves to tq steer even when already rolling. I think I see an LSD rear diff in the near future but for just under $2k in mods and tuning, I'm not bitching.

Since this is the only active thread on here. What do you think? Became really evident last night. No CEL. Doesn't get faster or change tempo with acceleration.

Re: The completely random off topic thread
First, I think your link goes to nothing and is completely useless.
Secondly, I saw the working link on FB and think you're screwed. It honestly sounds to me like something assiciated with a rotating part failed or broke itself loose and is slapping around.

Re: The completely random off topic thread
Link fixed. LOL!
Yeah, I think I am as well. I have a used motor coming from a Vendor on NASIOC. Compression tested 145 across with less than %5 leakdown. Came from a running 05 with 60k miles. If this happened a year from now I would have done an upgrade but since i don't have the extra cash and need the car back up ASAP I had to go with another EJ205.

Re: The completely random off topic thread
Oh, and the upper right cam pulley had metal flakes on it when i pulled the timing cover to look at the belt. Not sure if that is of any relevance but I'm sure it's related. Maybe just the bearing went out but who knows. Sounds more severe and the sound seems to be coming more from the ports and TGV's than it does from the front.

Re: The completely random off topic thread
Drain the oil, drop the pan, then pull the valve covers. Finding metal flakes while doing that would be more indicative of a catastrophic failure.
Next up, IM inspect the TGVs.
Or you can reverse the order and inspect the TGV's first.
I'm honestly surprised you retained those. That was one of the first things I eliminated on my Legacy.

Re: The completely random off topic thread
I'll eventually get down and dirty with it. Going to wait to start pulling the pan, heads and valve covers until i get it pulled and on an engine stand which i need to go buy along with an engine hoist.
Now, who's ready for 24hrs of a Christmas Story?!

Glad to see the Niners moving on and Green Bay going home. Too many non-calls against Green Bay.
